Turquoise lake. In Lhasa visit the famous Potala and Norbulinkha
palaces, the great Drepung Monastery and walk through the
bustling Barkor Bazaar before flying back to Kathmandu (or

ITINERARY
for Kathmandu to Lhasa overland tour.
Day 01: KATHMANDU
- ZANGMU - NYALAM
Early morning scenic drive from Kathmandu to Kodari (Nepal/Tibet
border). After completion of the immigration and custom
formalities drive uphill to Zangmu Immigration Post. Complete
all the custom formalities. Continue to Nyalam. Guest House.
Day 02: NYALAM
- SHEGAR (New Tingri)
Drive to Shegar crossing NYALAMU PASS & LALUNG LA PASS.
This drive offers a fantastic view of the high mountains
including Mount Everest (8848m/29000ft) on the Tibetan side
(North Face of Everest). Guest House.
Day 03: SHEGAR
(New Tingri) - SHIGATSE
Drive (approx. 8hrs) to Shigatse. Shigatse has the famous
Tashilunpo Monastery and the seat of the Panchen Lama. Hotel.
Day 04: SHIGATSE
- GYANTSE
In the morning visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery and the free
market of Shigatse.
In the afternoon drive to Gyantse and visit Phalkor Chode
Monastery and Khumbum Stupa. Hotel.
Day 05: GYANGTSE
- LHASA
The drive to Lhasa takes approximately about 8 hours, crossing
two passes - the KAROLA and the KAMBA LA via Yamdrok Tso
lake. Hotel.
Day 06 & Day 07: LHASA
SIGHTSEEING
LHASA - Sightseeing tour of Potala Palace, Norbulinka Palace.
Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and Barkhor
Bazaar. Hotel.
Day 08: DEPARTURE
from LHASA
Transfer to Gongar airport for your onward flight to Kathmandu
or to mainland China.
END of Kathmandu to Tibet tour.
